Melissa brings over seven years of insurance and legal experience to her Chicago Title Commercial team. A clear and effective communicator, her clients love working with her because of her ability to proactively identify key obstacles and quickly resolve issues. Recently, Melissa helped to successfully coordinate a challenging $300M mortgage facility that involved 3 lenders, 13 states and 39 sites with various title issues for a Fortune 500 company. She is highly organized and can handle anything that comes her way with grace under pressure.
Melissa holds a Bachelor of Arts from University of Oregon and a law degree from Willamette University College of Law. She’s also a member of NAIOP, ULI, Oregon State Bar’s RELU, and the Oregon Asian Pacific American Bar Association. Fluent in Mandarin, she hopes to leverage her unique skill set to help both domestic and international clients mold the future landscape of the city and the region.
When she’s not working, Melissa grows rare tropical houseplants that remind her of Singapore, where she spent her early childhood years. She lives in Portland, Oregon with her partner and their Australian labradoodle, Mara.
